Having run a manufacturing company for many years, and successfully recruiting good quality staff, David Parkinson felt inspired to set up and run a recruitment agency. County Employment has been established to provide a service for employers and candidates across Herefordshire and into the adjoining counties.
He is joined by Sarah Westwood and together they bring a wealth of experience to the business. They are committed to providing an excellent recruitment service tailored to businesses based in this area. County Employment can offer guidance and practical advice on all aspects of the recruitment and employment process to ensure an effective and efficient result for both clients and candidates.

As well as Ledbury we are also able to cover Newent, Ross on Wye, Monmouth, Bromyard, Tenbury Wells and Malvern.
Why start an employment agency?
Running a company with over 100 employees, we know first-hand the type of problems that a manager can experience in finding the right staff for their business. As well as placing our own adverts, we also used a number of employment agencies. We discovered that many agencies do not read all the job applications sent to them. Instead they rely upon computer software to highlight keywords in a Curriculum Vitae (CV) to enable them to select whose CV to read.
This could mean that some people who could be more suited for a position fall at the first hurdle. We can eliminate this as we want to offer a service in keeping with the traditional values that are held in this part of the Country. All candidates that are put forward to employers will have been interviewed by ourselves, and we will promote their skills to ensure that they find the right position.
